Introduction

Since the challenge is around creating a mobile application for a charity to enable their patrons to better support them on the go via a mobile application, we will be leveraging the AWS Amplify platform to enable teams to build their applications quickly using popular tech stacks like React Native, JavaScript, Java,  etc.

Tools and Technologies

Fitch and Amazon will provide an AWS VirtualMachine image so all participants are able to participate from day one without the need to set up development environment on their laptops from scratch.

The mobile application toolset of choice for this codeathon will be AWS Amplify (https://aws.amazon.com/amplify ) which accelerates the creation of cross platform mobile applications. Teams should familarize themselves with this framework ahead of the event in order to hit the ground running on the day.
